Pastor’s Appreciation Luncheon

If you are considering starting a CPR group in your area, one of the ways we have found to be effective in doing so is through a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon. Not only do they learn about the ministry of Celebrate Recovery in general, but they hear from fellow pastors who have completed a Step Study and are invited to participate. Here’s a current invite below (had to be rescheduled to Feb 18)…

Dear CPR-interested Pastors anywhere near Tulsa, OK,

On Thursday, February 18th, at 11:30am, here at SHBC we are hosting a Pastor’s Appreciation Luncheon sponsored by Celebrate Recovery ministries in the Tulsa metro area. We would love to have you join us if at all possible! Not only is it a free lunch (always helpful in recessionary times) but it will be a tremendous encouragement to you and your own CR leadership team. It will also be a great opportunity to hear about the ministry of CR in general if you are considering getting one started in your church.

If you want to RSVP please call Norma Murphy at 918-231-0655, and leave a message so that we can plan for you.

As you and I both know, the need is enormous and we need to continue to get the word out about this effective tool to uniquely help pastors through their own hurts, habits, and hang-ups. There are currently two CPR groups underway in our area and we plan to begin a third in February. ALSO, a Pastor’s wives/Women in ministry CPR group just wrapped up- a FIRST for our area and very successful. There are also plans to begin another one for women soon.

Again, please pass the word and I hope to see you there!
