Ministry can be uniquely fulfilling. But, it can also be uniquely difficult. Far too many pastors (I mean anyone in vocational ministry, not just Sr. Pastors) are out in the trenches of church life and are feeling very, very lonely as they try to run the race while carrying enormous weights of personal hurts, habits, and hang-ups. All pastors are “wounded healers” to one degree or another, but our ability to bring God’s healing to others can be deeply affected by the extent to which our own wounds have been healed.
“CPR” is a dream of helping pastors find a safe haven for experiencing the healing power of Jesus Christ for the hurts, habits, and hang-ups of the past, present, and future. For pastors who are ready to take the journey through the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery, our ultimate goal as this site develops is to get you connected with other like-hearted pastors in your area or with a group online. In the meantime, enjoy the blog.
(By the way, the picture displayed here is of the night our very first CPR group received our “12 Step Coins” during CR Worship. John Baker was in town and helped congratulate us.)
